Who I am
I am Chris, a qualified UKCP counsellor and psychotherapist based in East London, passionate about working with people from all walks of life. I offer an inclusive, affirming and collaborative space for individuals, couples and families of all genders, sexualities, backgrounds, ages, abilities, neurotypes and relationship structures. I am a gay man and have particular expertise working with LGBT+ clients and apply a Gender Sexuality and Relationship Diverse (GSRD) approach to my work.
As a supervisor-in-training at TA East, I am deepening my practice to apply an intersectional lens to my work and support other practitioners in their own personal and professional journeys.
Alongside my practice with clients and supervisees, I also offer coaching to support people in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, to identify unhelpful patterns and relationships and perform at their best.
My approach
Our life experiences can have a powerful effect on shaping our view of the world and can lead us to become trapped in unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving.
Through counselling, psychotherapy, mediation and business coaching, I help individuals, couples, families and groups through their relational problems to make meaningful change and find better connections with themselves and others.
I am an integrative therapist, specialising in Relational Transactional Analysis (TA), which means that I bring together all the different aspects of my training and experience to find what therapy approach is the best for each individual.
My roots in Relational TA combine Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy, which can be used to understand and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour, and the often unconscious psychological process behind them.
My practice is informed by years of working and living alongside the diverse communities of East London. I value cultural context as a key part of the therapeutic journey and believe in a collaborative approach - where, together, we can identify repetitive, often painful patterns, and how they might be understood, changed, or let go.
In-person and online
My practice rooms are located in Shoreditch and in Dalston. I also work online, over Zoom.
My qualifications
